A lot of people feel that technology places a lot of demands on their time – having to stay on top of emails, text messages, social media, and so on – but when it’s used properly, technology can actually help us to stay organized. Self-proclaimed “app addict” Charlie Edwards is here today to tell us about six apps that can make your life easier.
Trying to keep your home and social life organized can be a daunting task in itself. Add in a significant other, two kids and a pet and it can be practically impossible. Luckily, technology is here to lend you a hand.
Here is a quick list of applications that will help keep your home and social life in order
YadaHome – Family Organizer
The YadaHome family organizer contains a calendar, grocery list and a to-do list. After setting up your account you can easily set up shared lists, photos, calendars and contacts with family and friends. The best thing about this app is that family members can also add to your lists or calendar before an event or before you get into the checkout line.
Home Chores is a simple app that allows you to divide categories of places to complete chores and enter tasks into each one. This app contains the ability to email chores to roommates or family members, making this a compelling option to those who like simple functionality.
Clean Freak Cleaning Schedule
For 99 cents this detailed app will help you schedule all the different cleaning tasks you have for your home. It will also track how long it’s been since you last did a given task. It takes a little bit of work to set up but obviously is worth it — if your house is a mess.
This application is the affordable version of having a personal assistant. HiFutureSelf is a free app that lets you send reminders to your future self. It helps remind you to do everyday chores. All it takes is two taps you can set up quick reminders for your daily routine. It’s less complicated than some of the other organization apps on the market.
For the parents who like to physically reward their kids when they finish a chore. Chore Pad will give out virtual trophies when a family member finishes a series of tasks. Each time a person finishes a chore, they are given a star, which they can later cash out for a trophy. This app is available for $ 2.99 and is more suitable for families with younger children.
Custom Hypnosis: House Cleaning Edition
If none of the other apps above help you get your life in order — maybe it’s time to hypnotize yourself. Available for $ 1.99 this app has specialized relaxation techniques built into the hypnosis audio. It promises to make your housework seem fun.
